The Vincent Ehindero Blogger Award

I wish to thank my fellow blogger, Bill Fonda, who was nice enough to nominate me for the Vincent Ehindero Blogger Award. Turns out we have a mutual respect for each other’s work and I look forward to reading his posts very week. If you are seeking an interesting read, check out his writings at the link below and give him a follow:

Allow me to jump through a couple of hoops here and answer Bill’s questions:

(1) If you could do one thing over, and only one thing, what would it be?

My career. Make better choices and take more chances.

(2) What is the best thing you read in the past week? (Link if possible)

How Roy Choi’s Taco Truck Kogi Kicked Off the Food Truck Revolution – Thrillist

I am a new fan of Roy Choi. He really taps into my foodie sensibilities. I have been avidly watching the Netflix series The Chef Show which he has produced and hosted with actor/director Jon Favreau. Choi’s approach to cooking is refreshing and unpretentious, kinda like me 😉.

(3) What is your philosophy on life, in five words or less?

Live life to the fullest.

(4) What never fails to make you laugh?

Sarcasm coupled with a meeting of like minds.

(5) What is one thing you cannot forgive if someone does it?

Empty promises, especially if repeated. I have less patience as I get older and I weed those people out like a magnet.

(6) Why do you write the way you do, and what made you realize you want to do it that way?

I try to write in a way that people can relate to, without trying to sound preachy and over-bearing. I also write in a voice that purely reflects who I am, which is genuine and compassionate.

I have always had it in me to try and help in whichever way I can, and if my words inspire or motivate even one person then I will have succeeded. That’s my ultimate goal.

Now it’s my turn to nominate some bloggers whose posts I enjoy. They are:

Sunny Larue (The Professional Martini Drinking Blogger)

Kristian Weigman

Catherine Mellen

Here are my questions:

Who or what inspires you to write?

What’s your biggest pet peeve?

If you had chance to interview anybody in the public eye, who would it be and why?

What advice would you give anyone who is new to blogging/writing?

When’s your favorite time of day to write and why?

Stay safe ….and happy writing!
